A new name in power in Lithuania - affordable but quality tractors (VIDEO)

This year, „Agrobond“ introduced the „Aupax P4110“ tractor to the Lithuanian market, which is considered to be perhaps the most exciting new product of the year. The main attraction is that the tractor has a power output of 120 hp and a price excluding VAT of only 41,000 euros, which is significantly less than other tractors in Lithuania.

According to Gintaras Ramanauskas, Technical Sales Manager at „Agrobond“, the company has not communicated too much about the „Aupax P4110“ in our country, because the model has been tested for half a year. „Now we can safely say that it is an extraordinary product“, – says G. Ramanauskas.

The tractor has been tested in various conditions. One of them was immediately purchased by Lukas, a young farmer from the Raseiniai district, who has only ever worked with a „Belarus“ tractor.

„If you're looking for a replacement for a "Belarus“ tractor, you won't find a better one, you know. With the „Aupax P4110“ you'll be able to do all the necessary work you need to do," says Mr Ramanauskas, adding that even fishermen who launch their boats into the sea are planning to get one.

Interestingly, about 70,000 „Belarus“ tractors are still officially registered in Lithuania, for which parts are becoming harder to come by, and inexpensive, affordable tractors are emerging in this power segment.

„Agrobond“ has a range of „Aupax“ models, from 25 hp to 130 hp. The most powerful "Aupax" tractor to date has been the "Aupax P5000" with 136 hp.

Western quality and capability

"The Aupax P4110 is in the so-called medium tractor class, with power outputs ranging from 90 to 130 hp. We didn't have them before, but now we can offer them," said Valdemaras Jacikas, head of „Agrobond“, adding that the „Aupax“ was developed in the Italian „Arba“ factory, which was acquired some time ago by the Chinese „Weichai Group“, which also produces the engines.

When asked whether the tractor was Chinese or Italian, Mr Jacik asked who owned the "iPhone". If it is American, then the tractor is Italian, because the „iPhone“ is only made in the USA, but it is made in China, just like the „Tesla“ cars“, – said Mr. Jacik.

The Aupax P4110“ weighs 4.86 tonnes and has a 4.6-litre „Weichai“ engine under the bonnet.

Like other tractors, the „Aupax P4110“ is equipped with an „AdBlue“ emission neutralisation system and offers exceptional economy. The tractor can be controlled in three economy modes.

The front loader, which is particularly relevant for small farms, lifts up to 1 800 kg at its highest point. And the 2.5 m working width three-row coulter is easy to pull.

„Our customers are mixed farms, foresters, utility workers and even fishermen. So why should I buy a tractor for €80,000 when I can buy one for half the price?", says Mr Ramanauskas.

He did it himself

„Agrobitė“ not only visited the company, but also paid a visit to Lukas, a young farmer in his 30s, who grew up in England and received his education in the UK, sold his house abroad  and bought a homestead with 22 ha of land in the Raseiniai district.

Lukas himself found out about the Aupax P4110 when the tractor was not even physically present in Lithuania, after watching a video from an exhibition in Poland.

Six months ago, Lukas bought the Aupax P4110 and has been using it for about 250 mowing hours without a single complaint.

„Around Šiluva, the land is all barren, so our farm is mixed. We keep livestock, some cereals“, – said Lukas Rusas.

He finds the tractor „Aupax P4110“ helps him to do all the work, and it is easier to manoeuvre in the woodland and in the farm fields. I chose the tractor based on price and quality. We needed a workhorse for the large amount of baler, mulcher, mower and front loader work," said Lukas.

Lukas also has an old „Belarus“ on the farm. But if you work half the day and repair the other half, it's no good. I wanted more comfort – less sound, and air conditioning on hot days“, – said Lukas, who this year, among other things, has stacked as many as 500 bales.

A unique opportunity to save

100 „Aupax P4110“ tractors have arrived in Europe, of which we have two in Lithuania and two more will be arriving in our country soon. Jacikas predicts that at least 20 of these models will be sold in the short term, as he has managed to negotiate good discounts for Lithuanian farmers with the „Weichai“ factory.

„We have received confirmation from the factory that all „Aupax“ tractors will be heavily discounted. For example, for the „Aupax P4110“ model, we are giving away €5,000 off the price if you order it before 20 December," says Jacikas, adding that the tractor will then be priced at the standard price of €46,000  but even that is almost double the price of its Western counterparts.

This is linked to the current calls for support for farmers. Usually in Lithuania, when there are calls for support, some distributors, on the contrary, increase the price of the machinery, and in this case „Agrobond“ helps farmers to get a better deal on the machinery.

Also importantly, „Agrobond“ provides warranty (e.g. „Aupax“ tractors are covered by a 2-year warranty, extendable to 5 years) and after-sales service.
