Will farmers still buy agricultural machinery? (VIDEO)
Grain and milk prices are volatile, the CBAM levy on fertilisers is adding pressure, and geopolitical tensions around the world are adding to uncertainty. In this climate, will farmers still dare to invest in a new tractor, combine harvester or loader?
Distributors of agricultural machinery are directly dependent on farmers' decisions. If farmers do better – the market for machinery grows. But today more and more farmers are asking: should they invest or should they just survive?
This is what „Agrobite Play“ discusses in the studio:
• Sigitas Ašmonas, UAB „INTRAC Lietuva“, Head of Handling Techniques
• Dangis Valaitis, Managing Director of UAB „Dotnuva Baltic“
In this discussion we talk about the reality of the agricultural machinery market, farmers' investments, EU support, bank financing, the future of technology and the biggest myths about Lithuanian farmers.
What do you think?
Will farmers today still be willing to buy new machinery, or will they increasingly opt for savings and caution? Write in the comments.
