"Dotnuva Baltic starts representing VREDO
At the end of 2024, UAB „Dotnuva Baltic“ signed a representation agreement with VREDO, a well-known Dutch manufacturer of self-propelled liquid organic material handling machines and specialised drilling machines. This was a strategic move that the company had been considering for a long time, adding to its range of machinery the reliable technological solutions needed by Baltic farms. VREDO will be represented in all three countries - Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia - and the company will be offering its services to farms as early as this spring.
“Over the last few years we have been searching, testing and communicating with manufacturers of liquid organic material (slurry) handling equipment. We have analysed which technological solution is more suitable for our regional farms and service providers, taking into account soil and climatic conditions," says Dangis Valaitis, Managing Director of „Dotnuva Baltic“, on the choice of a new manufacturer.
VREDO – is a family-owned farming company based in the Netherlands, which in 1976 produced its first grass drill with double slotted discs for working in very heavy soils. In the late 1980s, the principle of this drill was used to develop the first slurry injection unit. To this day, the company focuses on two product groups: liquid organic matter handling machines and grass seed drills.
D. Valaitis welcomes VREDO's manufacturer representation and the technological solutions that make these machines unique in the market. VREDO technology ensures optimum use of nutrients in livestock manure and precise fertilisation. The result is a fertile soil with maximum yields of healthy plants and minimal losses of ammonia, phosphates and nitrates.
Solutions for efficient liquid organic matter management and grass seeding
Three VREDO self-propelled models are available: VT4556 (450 hp), VT5536 (550 hp) and VT7138 (710 hp) with the following features:
- Optimum 50/50 weight distribution and very low centre of gravity.
- Slurry and solid fertiliser spreading capability Crab driving mode; automatic tyre pressure regulation system. Lowest design weight in the class.
- Hydraulically suspended front axle for extra comfort and control.
- 30 years of experience with the VREDO Variable Variable Transmission (VVT) system.
- 160 degree rotation angle of the suction arm, optimally positioned for high visibility and comfortable operation.
- Extremely fast loading thanks to centrifugal pump technology. Suction capacity from 9 m3 to 16 m3 per minute.
- VREDO's twin-disc system efficiently incorporates slurry directly into the soil while maintaining its best properties. These machines can also be equipped with other insertion units.
VREDO liquid organic matter handling machines help to increase farm efficiency. For example, up to 35% (cattle manure) and 41% (pig manure) fertilisation of meadows results in more efficient nitrogen use, more nutrients for the fields and better crop quality.
Other VREDO machines represented include grass drills. They cut into the soil with two discs and maintain the necessary depth to ensure that the seed is evenly spread and pressed. This results in an even seed distribution of up to 98% and a germination rate of up to 96%. „Dotnuva Baltic“ is already planning to carry out tests with VREDO seed drills this year. The seed drills are designed for large livestock farms that require productivity and speed. With VREDO drills, there is less evaporation and less seed loss.
Reliable range of machines and services
„Dotnuva Baltic“ has made strong additions to its agricultural machinery portfolio in recent years. In addition to Case IH, Kverneland, Agrifac and Siloking, manufacturers such as Agrisem (direct drilling and tillage implements, France), MacDon (band and self-propelled mowers, Canada), ROC (band rakes, Italy), Umega Agro (semi-trailers and other machines, Lithuania) have been introduced.
„VREDO complements the range of machinery that meets the needs of large farms. We will represent a quality manufacturer and a machine that farms need. VREDO machinery is relevant for large dairy and livestock farms, cooperatives and service providers. The first season is important for a proper product introduction, so we will focus on team training, demonstrations and after-sales service preparation. Of course, on behalf of &bquo;Dotnuva Rent“, we are planning an operator-assisted service, as it may be more attractive to outsource such a powerful machine than to buy it. We respond to the needs of any farm and are flexible with our solutions“, says D. Valaitis.
