Vilkaviskis Challenge: 1,300 km around Lithuania with a T-150 tractor (VIDEO)

Vilkaviskis Region Farmers' Union (Vilkaviskis Region Farmers' Union) announced on Tuesday that it is going to drive around Lithuania with a 1989 T-150 tractor, covering a distance of about 1,300 kilometres.

„A large delegation of UAC members is in front of your eyes. Behind them is a 1989 T-150 tractor, also known as a "half-and-a-half" or a "half-and-a-half"," writes VKŪS on social media. Well, because in a few weeks' time this tractor will start its historic march around Lithuania!

Union leader Arvydas Šlivinskas told „Agrobitei“ that Artūras Vakarinas and Šarūnas Radvinauskas, also known as Pinkie and Macaule, will take turns at the tractor's wheel. Both of them took part in this year's farmers' protest in Vilnius. Vakarinas arrived in the capital in an old tractor decorated with a stuffed effigy of former Agriculture Minister Kęstutis Navickas.

„We will support them. We will bring fuel where needed," said Šlivinskas.

Among other things, farmers in Vilkaviskis are planning to join the Lithuanian Farmers' Union in the near future, although negotiations have not yet been completed.

Vilkaviškis farmers are also approaching potential supporters. Anyone who would like to contribute to the historic ride is very welcome - anyone who can provide fuel, lubricant, antifreeze or spare parts for a "T-150"! They will also be very much needed on the trip!“ – adds the Farmers' Union of Vilkaviškis Region.
