Another dairy processor doubles its profits to €13.7 million
After the dairy processor "Vilvi Group" reported a twofold increase in profits, "Rokiškio sūris" has issued a similar announcement. One of Lithuania's largest dairy processing groups, „Rokiškio sūris“ earned earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of EUR 13.7 million in January and June, double the EUR 6.6 million earned in the same period of last year.
The Group's consolidated net profit grew by 3.6 times to €6.43 million (€1.79 million), while revenue – grew by 18% to €174.8 million (€148.1 million). Rokiškio sūris“ announced on Friday on the „Nasdaq“ Vilnius Stock Exchange.According to the company, the main contributors to the sales growth were a 24% increase in the price of fresh cheeses and a 5% increase in the price of „Grand“ fermented cheeses.„Due to the changing situation on the global dairy market, cheese production in the first half of the year was more focused on fresh fermented cheeses. Hard cheese sales remained almost at the same level as in 2023," „Rokiškio sūris“ said in the report.
The company also said it sold milk sugar products at lower prices this year, and other whey products, butter and cream for export at higher prices.
The company said it recorded similar sales of fresh dairy products in January-June as at the same time last year.
