"Pieno žvaigždės' profit drops 2.6 times

In the first six months of this year, one of the country's largest dairy processing companies „Pieno žvaigždės“ earned an unaudited net profit of EUR 2.4 million, 2.6 times less than the EUR 6.2 million net profit it made in the period from January to June 2024.

The company's first-half sales revenue rose 6.6% to EUR 108.7 million (year ago: EUR 101.9 million), preliminary half-year results were reported by "Pieno žvaigzdės" on the Vilnius Stock Exchange, according to a statement on the Nasdaq“Nasdaq“Vilnius stock exchange.

Dry milk products grew in Lithuania and the European Union countries in June-June, but declined in non-EU countries.

„Pieno žvaigždės“'s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the first half of the year was EUR 5.9 million, a decrease of 39.2% compared to the year-earlier period (EUR 9.7 million).
