„Agrochemical“ group revenues fell by 14% last year compared to 2023 and amounted to EUR 363.6 million. At the same time, the Group's consolidated profit amounted to EUR 714 thousand.

„Agrochem“ Aurimas Lukoševičius, CEO of Agrochem“, said that the group's financial results were affected by the tense geopolitical situation.

„The high price of imported gas needed for fertiliser production resulted in the high cost of Lithuanian fertilisers, while the market continued to see an increase in the number of fertilisers imported from third countries whose producers are not subject to pollution or carbon dioxide taxes – a significant part of the price of fertilisers in the European Union“, – the report quotes A. Lukoševičius as saying.

He also stressed that the grain market was also difficult due to the geopolitical situation: Lithuanian grain was already competing with cheap grain from Russia, Romania, and even Argentina and Canada.

This year, the Group is forecasting growth and plans to achieve a turnover of EUR 379 million.

The „Agrochema“ Group, which has been operating in the Baltics for more than three decades, comprises „Agrochema“, SIA „Agrochema Latvia“ and „Agrochema Eesti“ OU.

The company also sells bulk nitrogen and other fertilisers, plant protection products, seeds, garden and horticultural products.

At the end of 2024, the Group had 358 employees.
