Grain, straw and geese burnt in a fire in a farm building in Kupiškis district
A fire broke out in a farm building in the Kupiskis district on Saturday night and burnt down grain, straw and geese, firefighters said.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, a complex of wooden outbuildings was on fire.
The fire burnt 3 tonnes of grain, 60 bales of hay, straw and geese. The roof of the building was also burnt and the roof slab collapsed in part.
Two dwellings were saved, two dogs, 24 chickens and a Renault Scenic car were rescued. Three gas cylinders were removed from the building.
The fire was extinguished on Sunday morning at 9.45 a.m.
