In Ignalina district, a bear has been visiting a farm for two days. It was digging for honey and eating chickens (VIDEO)

On Friday, the owner of a small farm in the Ignalina district suffered two days of visits from a bear, during which the predator destroyed hives and chickens.

The incident was caught on CCTV. They show the bear digging for honey and destroying hives. In total, 5 hives were destroyed.

According to the owner of the farm, 34-year-old Sauliaus Šimonelis, the bear probably came from Belarus, as the village of Pivoriūnai is located right next to the national border.

„The day before yesterday the hives were not enough, so it crawled into the henhouse and ate several hens“, said S. Šimonėlis to the portal „Agrobitė“.

The man keeps a total of 200 bee colonies. He has also appealed to hunters for help, but there is nothing they can do.
