The value of agricultural production grew by 4% last year.
The value of agricultural produce grew by 3.7% last year compared to 2023, but farm gate prices fell by 2.6%, the State Data Agency said on Thursday.
The value of crop production and livestock production increased by 5.3% and 0.8% last year, respectively, while their farm gate prices fell by 6.4% and rose by 4.2%, the agency said.
Of the crop products, the most significant decrease (11%) was recorded for cereals, while the increase (31.9%) was recorded for fruits and berries. Among livestock products, the most significant increases were recorded for milk (16.6%) and cattle (9%), while – egg, poultry, pigs prices decreased (12.1%, 10.1% and 7.4% respectively).
