Panevėžys police have found a wheel tractor with a loader that was stolen from a warehouse and arrested two suspects in connection with the crime. 

On Monday, at around 8 a.m., a report was received that a tractor with a loader had been stolen from a warehouse in Panevėžys district by breaking the padlock on the door.The loss was 12 thousand 200 euros.

Officials spent several days of time and effort to solve the crime.

As the police announce, on Friday, thanks to the active and intensive actions of the officers of the Criminal Police Property Crime Investigation Department of the Panevėžys County Chief Police Commissariat, the thieves of the tractor were apprehended.

Two persons born in 1978 and 1990 were arrested and suspected of theft.They are residents of the surrounding districts, who, according to the officers' findings, had embezzled the stolen property and transported it to a distance of more than 50 kilometres from the place of theft.

The stolen tractor has been safely handed over to the owner of the property and the perpetrators will be held liable for misappropriation of stolen property in accordance with the relevant legislation. 

The pre-trial investigation is being led by the prosecutor of the Panevėžys District Prosecutor's Office.
