500 kilograms of cocaine found in corn starch
Luxembourg airport customs officials detected a record 500-kilogram consignment of cocaine in an air cargo shipment from Brazil last month, officials said on Monday.
The cocaine was „cleverly“ hidden among 3.6 tonnes of corn flour spread over five pallets, customs officials said in a statement.
The value of the cocaine when sold on the streets is estimated at around €100 million.
This is the largest seizure of drugs in the air freight sector in Luxembourg to date, the report said.
