Farmers protest in London and other UK cities (VIDEO)

Hundreds of farmers with tractors took part in a mass protest on Wednesday called "RIP British Farming". Farmers say the action is organised because of the „disastrous and damaging policies“ against farming.

On the same day, protests were also held in the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish capitals of Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast.

Farmers are not only concerned about the so-called Inheritance Tax, but also about future post-Brexit trade deals, imports of low-quality food and the recent removal of farming subsidies.

„We cannot compete with imported products because, for example, growth hormones have been banned in this country for more than 50 years. But the new government is going to bed with Donald Trump over a trade deal that deals with growth hormone-fed beef," Jeff Gibson, founder of Fairness For Farmers, told the media.
