John Deere relinquishes its lead in the German new tractor market
U.S. tractor maker „Deere & Co“ has ceded the lead in the German new tractor market to regular competitor „Fendt“.
It is said that last year and the year before, „Fendt“ had fallen to second place because the company's factories were facing a shortage of component supplies, but has reclaimed the top spot.
Local „Fendt“ tractors are relatively cheaper than „John Deere“ tractors and are not as well supplied as competing products. It is the lower price that attracts German farmers, which is why „Fendt“ has returned to the top spot after two years.
In Germany, over 30,333 new tractors were registered last year. Compared to 2022, registrations are almost unchanged (30,357 tractors were registered last year).
