One in four German farmers will choose a Fendt tractor in 2025
2025 was a year of general decline in new tractor registrations in the German agricultural machinery market, but a successful year for the „Fendt“ brand. According to figures published by the German Federal Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), 24,440 new tractors were registered in Germany in 2025. This is a 12.4% decrease compared to 2024 – the number of registrations is down by 3,464 units.
Despite the overall market downturn, „Fendt“ remained the leader in registration statistics for the third year running. In 2025, 6,326 new „Fendt“ tractors were registered in Germany, representing 24.3% of the total market. In other words, almost every fourth newly registered tractor in Germany was a „Fendt“.
In particular, „Fendt“ maintained its strong position in the individual power classes. According to the official KBA analysis, in the 51 hp power segment, „Fendt“ had a market share of as much as 30.9%, which means that in this segment almost every third registered tractor was a „Fendt“. In the class starting from 68 hp, the first model in this segment is the „Fendt e100 Vario“, further strengthening the manufacturer's market position
In 2025, „Fendt“ also led the registration statistics in other European countries. In Switzerland, where new tractor registrations rose by 3% to 1,624 units, against the general trend, „Fendt“ registered 362 tractors, accounting for 22.3% of the market.
In the Netherlands, 2,205 new tractors were registered in 2025, down 11.3% on the year before. Here „Fendt“ achieved a 22% market share with 494 tractors registered.Although new tractor registrations in Denmark fell by more than a quarter, „Fendt“ became market leader for the first time. In 2025, 198 „Fendt Vario“ tractors were registered in Denmark, giving the manufacturer a market share of 17.2% of all tractors and 17.6% in the 40 hp and above segment.
