Egg farm gate prices in the EU remain elevated in the last quarter. According to Polish analysts, the most common reason for the price increase is the shift to cage-free farming by the EU's main egg producers, particularly in Germany.

According to analysts, this is largely responsible for the higher prices.

„Taking into account the situation in the EU and the outlook for the egg markets, we forecast that M-class egg purchases will increase further next year,– the Polish analysts stressed.

The main risk factors for egg price forecasts – bird flu in the coming season in Europe, as well as the pace of supply growth among the largest egg producers.
