Estonia's milk purchase prices rise by almost a fifth in a year
The average purchase price of milk in Estonia last month was 19.4% higher than in January last year at €508.5 per tonne, according to the national statistics office.
Prices rose by an average of 5.9 percent during the month (January compared to December). Buying-in volumes rose by 5.6 per cent on the month and 1.7 per cent on the year to 77,400 tonnes.
The average fat content of milk bought in last month was 3.9% and the average albumen content 3.5%. Over the year, the first indicator decreased by 0.1 percentage points, while the second indicator remained stable.
