A tractor has been stolen in the Tauragė district

A major theft of agricultural machinery has taken place in the Tauragė district, causing losses to a local co-operative. The thieves targeted an expensive tractor that was essential to the farm.

The crime was recorded on 8 June 2026, at around 9.00 am, in the village of Joniškė in the Tauragė district. A “John Deere” tractor was driven out unnoticed and stolen from the premises of a cooperative operating there.

The owners have estimated their losses at nearly 10,000 euros.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the theft. Officers are searching for both the missing machinery and the individuals involved in this incident.
