"Kverneland launches new FS Series front disc mowers with mass transfer flow: more flexibility and faster drying

„Kverneland“ is expanding its range of front disc mowers with the launch of the new 2832 FS and 2836 FS models, designed for both wide spreading and shaping narrow, neat swaths. The new models are equipped with FS mass transfer auger technology and are available in 3.2 m and 3.6 m working width versions. The mowers are designed for farms where high forage quality, productivity and flexibility under different conditions are important.

Higher forage quality & less wastage

The special feature of theFS series – an active mass transfer auger mounted directly behind the cutter bar. It collects the cut mass and forms a single, even, fluffy strand for good air circulation. This allows the grass to dry faster and more evenly, reducing nutrient losses and retaining a higher energy value.

A major advantage for the farm – cleaner feed. The forage is formed between the wheels of the tractor, so it is not trampled, which is particularly important when preparing forage or high quality hay.

FS mass-feeding auger allows efficient collection of the cut mass and the formation of light, uniform swaths or spreading of the forage over the entire width, thus speeding up the windrowing process and reducing soil contamination.

Easy handling and reduced costs

The new generation of FS mowers features a lightweight but robust design, requiring a relatively low-power tractor. The two-speed drive allows a choice of 1000 or 750 rpm operation – the lower speed is particularly useful for daily feeding. This helps to save fuel and reduce the load on the machine.

The compact front suspension with direct attachment to the tractor (without additional frame) improves manoeuvrability, while the optional hydraulically folding side guards facilitate traversing and transport.
