New features for Rexor and Matrix-Drille

Grimme nuotr.

When harvesting potatoes and beet, the crop and soil must be separated as far as possible without damaging the beet or potatoes. This was one of the aims of the improvements made to the „Rexor“ combine harvester.

Manufacturer „Grimme“ has redesigned the „Rexor 6300“, according to German portal Agrarheute.com. The new „Claas“ cab offers the driver a 2-zone air conditioning system and an additional control terminal with two controls. The rear area around the „Mercedes“ engine has been redesigned for better access. Once the combine has entered the track correctly, the „Speedtronic“ system takes over. This automatically adapts the transport and lifting unit and the travel speed to the performance. This means that the „Rexor“ is always working at optimum performance, without the risk of clogging or damaging the beet more than necessary.

Matrix 2025: precision and flexibility

From 2025, the next generation „Matrix“ will also be available with 12 and 18 rows, a compact design, better weight distribution and driver support. The drill unit is better oriented in the soil depth and on the rails. A new sensor in the coulter reliably detects beet, rapeseed or chicory seeds as well as blockages. The modular settings can be quickly changed from conventional to mulch sowing and from 50 to 45 cm row spacing. The coulter pressure can be adjusted from 0 to 120 kg every 30 steps. The placement depth can be accurately adjusted with a lever in increments of 0.5 cm to 5 cm. Beetroot is sown in a triangular pattern. Another practical feature is the possibility to create harvesting windows. This removes the need for tedious counting and allows the harvester driver to easily find the rows he needs.

„Airsep 290“ potato harvester: efficient separation of stones and potatoes

Another innovation: the „Airsep 290“ is a potato harvester. Airsep is the air separation of potatoes and stones. All screening belts and separators can be adjusted independently of the tractor engine speed using a fully hydraulic drive. All speeds are now in km/h. Improved serviceability. Digital aids help gentle harvesting. The overlap between the first and second sieve belts has also been increased. The capacity of the stone hopper is now 1 m³. The machine's platform can now be folded out to allow harvesting by up to five people. Another innovation is the height-adjustable step for shorter people.
