Polish farmers are not in a good mood due to the sharp drop in milk prices
Cereals (except oats), potatoes and live cattle have become more expensive in January compared to December, both at buying points and markets. Prices for live pigs, poultry meat and especially milk were lower, reports the Polish farmers' portal.
The purchase price of potatoes was almost 2 percent higher than last month, but 7 percent lower than at the same time last year.
The buying-in price for live cattle increased by several percent.
In the meantime, the milk purchase price has fallen by as much as 11.5 per cent, but is still 10.8 per cent higher than a year ago.
