The Lithuanian economy will grow by 3.1% this year.
According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Lithuania's economy is expected to grow by 3.1% this year, after recovering in 2024, faster than forecast. According to Isabell Koske, Deputy Director of the OECD's Country Studies Division, this recovery and continued growth is due to strong household consumption.
„Private consumption has remained and will continue to be the main driver of economic growth. Strong wage growth will continue to contribute to this," Ms Koske told reporters at the presentation of the OECD Economic Survey of Lithuania on Friday.
Lithuania's GDP will grow by just 0.3% in 2023, 2.7% in 2024 and 2.8% in 2026, according to OECD data.
