"Achema Group will not pay dividends for 2024

One of the largest business groups in Lithuania „Achema Group“, which generated a net profit of EUR 6.1 million last year, will not pay dividends for the previous year, the concern has informed BNS.

The decision was prompted by financial difficulties at the group's largest company – Jonava nitrogen fertiliser producer „Achema“, Klaipeda port handling company „Klasco“ and other handling companies, it said.

„Taking into account the complex situation of the Group and the difficulties faced by both the Group's largest company „Achema“ and the Group's cargo handling businesses, the Group's General Shareholders' Meeting decided not to distribute any dividends to the shareholders for the year 2024 by the decision of the major shareholder, „Achema Group“, &bdash;said in a commentary to BNS on Thursday.

The group told BNS that it did not pay a dividend for 2023, when it made a net loss of EUR 16.7 million, while it paid a dividend of EUR 20 million for 2022, 18% less than for 2021 (EUR 24.4 million).

According to data provided to the Registry Centre, the Group's largest company, „Achema“, reduced its net loss by a factor of 3.7 to €12.8 million in 2024, while „Klasco“ saw its loss increase by 37.3 per cent to €2.81 million in 2024. 

41.59% of „Achema Group“ shares are held by Lyda Lubienė, 12.47% by Viktorija Lubytė and the rest by 13 natural persons.

„Achema Group“ unites about 40 companies operating in the Baltic States, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Croatia in the fields of fertilizer production, agribusiness, handling and logistics, energy, gas production and trading.
