Food corridor tragedy: 321 infrastructure objects damaged in Ukrainian ports
Since the start of the operation of the Food Export Corridor in the Black Sea, Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports have caused damage to 321 infrastructures.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during the Third International Ukrainian Grain Conference, reports „Ukrinform“ correspondent.
„Just through the food export corridor in our Black Sea – 321 infrastructures in our ports have been damaged by strikes from Russian missiles and Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles from July last year to this month. More than 20 ships have been damaged – ordinary civilian vessels, as well as those of other countries. We are not talking about Ukrainian ships," said Mr Zelensky. He noted that it is particularly important for Ukraine to emphasise food security in these days of commemoration of the victims of the massive famine known as the Holodomor. This famine was artificially induced in 1932–1933 by the then Moscow authorities.
"More than 90 years have passed, but the memory of it has not faded and will not fade in Ukrainian families, because millions of people died. We really should value every single person, tens, thousands, hundreds of thousands. But as far as the Holodomor is concerned, it is a real genocide, because millions of people died," the President stressed.
